Our winery, Ermita del Conde, is located in Coruña del Conde in the province of Burgos, fed by the Duero River.  The business was created with the intent of preserving the history of the local land through the recovery of some century-old vineyards planted with Tempranillo and by preventing the extinction of one of the area’s most well-known grape varieties, the Albillo Mayor.

Our mountain vineyards extend over 20 hectares and include a large number of these wise old vines that survive amid Kermes oaks and gravel under the watchful eye of the Sierra de la Demanda.

Our vineyards plots, composed of 68 microparcels planted at nearly 1,000 metres altitude, are composed of a great variety of soils – clay, sand and limestone – which allows us to create wines with pronounced flavours and aromas that reflect their terroir. It also enables us to explore the different wines created by our two native varieties, the Tempranillo (Tinto Fino) and the Albillo Mayor.
